From Vision to Reality
The Pacific Coast Men's Summit held last April was a huge success! We had 200 men in attendance and the feedback was exceptional. So we have worked hard to bring you the next Pacific Coast Men's Summit to fuel the fellowship, reel in the intimacy and hear God's word to take us to the next level. This summit will be held again at the Twin Rocks Friends Camp on April 3-5, 2009. As we stated before, we want to see men from across the county, state and region gather in one place to share our Lord's Word with one another and continue the revival started last year. George Hodgdon from Tillamook had a vision to bring men closer to Christ in Tillamook County. Through his guidance the steering committee continues to work on the Pacific Coast Men's Summit to bring you a premium experience that will last a lifetime. This summit will be a gathering point for men from across the state to gather and hear key note speaker Bob Vernon, former Assistant Chief of Police, LAPD (Ret.).
PCMS Keynote Speaker Bob Vernon
Bob Vernon began his relationship with God by accepting Jesus Christ as his personal Savior as a teenager. After graduating from hi-school, he started college at BIOLA University. For two years his major was BIBLE, studying under such professors as J. Vernon Magee and Louis Talbot. Bob had made a commitment to serve the Lord; but was not certain about his role in doing so.
God lead him, through a series of circumstances, to join the LAPD in 1954. He changed his major to police science and moved over to California State University at Los Angeles. He continued his education by securing an MBA at Pepperdine University, an advanced degree at Northwestern University and graduated from the FBI’s National Executive Institute. read more >>>
Praise & Worship by Scott Krippayne
& Men for Christ Praise Band
Forget what your Mom said about playing with matches. You’re not seven anymore. Strike that match, watch the flame consume the head and dare to wait as it moves, insistently, toward your thumb and forefinger. Sure, you could get burned. But playing it safe is not always best. Without risk, you never fully discover who you are—who you can be.
For Scott Krippayne, a respected, accomplished singer/songwriter, the days of playing it safe are over. After nine years in pursuit of his dream, with five albums and plenty of radio and critical success to mark the path, Scott threw away the rule book. He and his wife, Katy, moved back home to Seattle, to reestablish their roots before their kids started school. There, Scott jumped off the ‘people pleaser’ bus. He started running with scissors, talking to strangers, base-jumping from tall buildings and touching breakable things in department stores.* read more >>>
